Story Summary

Dil e Nadan follows Zimal, a poor but sensible girl whose wedding procession turns back on her own wedding day due to her brother's unruly behaviour. To save her family's honour, her father's childhood friend steps in and arranges her marriage to his rude, spoiled son, Moosa Khan. Moosa agrees only to respect his father's wishes, treating Zimal with cold indifference at first, while both she and her former love, Kashif, quietly mourn what they've lost.

Despite Moosa's harsh behaviour, Zimal's resilience slowly wins over the entire family, even as Moosa struggles privately with old wounds from believing his stepmother destroyed his family. Things grow more complicated when his obsessive cousin Rimsha blackmails him with doctored photos and even drugs him to stage a compromising scene, shaking Zimal's trust — until Moosa proves his innocence and the two finally reconcile.

In an emotional twist, Moosa discovers that the woman he believed was his cruel stepmother is actually his real mother, who sacrificed her own identity to honour a dying wish. Moved by her sacrifice, he embraces her fully. The novel closes on a warm note with the happiness of the younger siblings and peace finally finding Kashif as well.
