Story Summary

Jalti Baarish is set against a dark, generation-spanning tribal enmity between the Afridi and Yousafzai clans. The scheming matriarch Marjaan Begum, along with her husband and father-in-law, forces Farishtay into a "Vani" — a tribal marriage meant to settle an old dispute — with Shahryar Mir Afridi, hoping to destroy his reputation and seize ancestral land.
